The Trouble Pigeons Bring
Structural Damage
Pigeons love sheltered spaces like attics, eaves, vents, and rooflines. Once they settle in, their presence can quickly create costly repairs:
Clogged gutters and drains – Their nests are full of twigs, leaves, and debris. When that blocks your gutters, rainwater overflows and can cause roof leaks or even foundation damage.
Roof corrosion – Pigeon droppings are highly acidic. Over time, they eat away at shingles, tar, and other roofing materials, leading to leaks and deterioration.
Vent blockages – When pigeons nest in chimneys or vents, airflow is restricted. In some cases, this even creates a fire hazard.
